Cedar vanillin currant. Beautiful velvet glove mid palate and finish. silver bullet and full bodied. 2 minute timed finish. 97 pts parker. Arguably his favorite beringer private reserve cab of all time.
4 hours decant. nose is elegant but light. finish has dark choc but also light. 03/13 6 hours decant. lovely perfumed nose matched by delicate light entry. slightly short finish.
delicious may be the best napa cab I ever had refined and voluptuous complex layers of taste long finish a classic 5/10/10

International Wine Cellar(2002 Vintage) Good full ruby-red. Sexy aromas of currant and dark chocolate. Compellingly sweet and densely packed, with lovely vinosity giving shape to the flavors of dark berries, cedar and minerals. Very fine-grained and very long on the palate, with the tannins perfectly buffered by the wine's material. This wine, mostly from Steinhauer and St. Helena fruit, went into the barrel in January of 2003 and remained there for two years, undisturbed except for a monthly topping-up.
