Wine Description

(From 2003 Vintage) The Nebbiolo grapes used to produce this Barolo come from Pio Cesare's family vineyardsaround the village of Serralunga d’Alba. Their own grapes account for about 70% oftheir production, and they also source grapes from the most favorable areas inCastiglione Falletto and Monforte, using the same sources they have been using for thelast hundred years.     Prefumed aromas of dried flowers & musk. On the palate, the wine is totally shut down: all you taste is minerals. Every bottle I've had in the past year has been the same. The wine is shut down for the long haul - will be best 2019-2025. I was 92 pts on this when it was first released.
