International Wine Cellar(1999 Vintage) Rating: 93/100 - As reviewed by International Wine Cellar in Issue 109, July/August 2003. ($113) Bright, deep ruby-red. Like a liquid confection on the nose: cherry, raspberry liqueur, roast coffee, mocha and sexy new oak. Sweet, sappy and concentrated; really explodes in the mouth. A huge, solid wine that manages to be light on its feet. Strong mocha and spice components from the wood treatment. Powerfully structured, chewy, three-dimensional wine that finishes with substantial oak tannins and a slight youthful rawness. But the fruit also saturates the palate.
