Michel-Schlumberger Cabernet Sauvignon Dry Creek Valley

Wine Details

Wine Description

(2011 Vintage) Expressing fundamental elements of style, this Cabernet is classic in its fruit, with distinct blueberry and blackberry impressions rounded out by spicy and earthy terroir. The scent of violets lifts the aroma while the snap of gooseberry anchors it. The balance between the different contributors to style--aromas of fruit and wood, of forest floor and aromatic spice, body and tannin--is elegant and very appealing.

Color was ok. High alcohol on the nose. The initial taste was great but it fell away very fast. I wanted more. Would be great with a hearty dinner.
