Le Macchiole Bolgheri Rosso

Wine Description

The complexity is mesmerizing, as the wine playfully offers aromas of black fruit, salvia, rosemary, chocolate and spice in quick succession.

Moderately saturated ruby. Cassis, plum and milk chocolate on the nose, lifted by a floral perfume. Sweet, dense and youthfully unevolved, with classic cabernet flavors of dark berries, graphite, and a touch of cedar. Broadens out impressively on the back end and shows increasing sweetness of fruit with extended aeration. This is a very supple version of Paleo; with less of the acid backbone of other recent vintages, it boasts a softer, if simpler, appeal.
