Wine Description

(2011 Vintage) Our Cabernet is rich with aromas of balsamic glazed figs, dried rose petals and a touch of green peppercorns. Smooth and rich on the palate with a persistent finish.

Good, not the $115 they are asking at the winery.

(2000 Vintage) 8% Merlot; 2% Cabernet Franc. If long on the sweeter, vanillin, almost root-beer-like elements of very creamy oak, this graceful, medium-dense Cabernet comes with plenty of engaging, easy-to-taste fruit working in its favor and is focused on currants and ripe black cherries throughout. Slightly rounded on the palate and a bit narrow in back, it is a deep, accessible and eminently tasty wine that is thoroughly enjoyable now yet still has a plenty of room for mid-term improvement.

(1997 Vintage) (10% Merlot; 4% Cabernet Franc). Mild and narrowly framed faintly raspberry-like fruit is teamed with touches of toast, mint and vanilla in the clean, comparatively low-keyed aromas here. The wine perks up as expected in the mouth, yet its somewhat complex, slightly closed flavors are rather more deep in fruit than first suggested. Still limited by tannin and a bit of acidic stiffness, this one makes a clear case for cellaring and should be held for five or six years.
