Sweet oak and suggestions of caramel are teamed with elements of berries and ripe cherries in both the buoyant aromas and somewhat polished flavors of this nicely balanced bottling, and fruit remains a constant from front to back. There is tannin enough to dissuade immediate drinking and a touch of heat shows at the finish, but a few years of age should make a good thing better.
