"The 2002 Cinq Cepages is impressive. It boasts a deep ruby/purple hue as well as aromas of cedar, black currants, sweet cherries, licorice, and smoky oak. Medium to full-bodied, authoritatively flavored, elegant and impressively long with a velvety texture, it is already delicious and evolved but should drink well for at least another 12-14 years.     75% Cabernet Sauvignon; 11% Merlot; 8% Cabernet Franc; 4% Malbec; 2% Petit Verdot. While there is real complexity at work here and loads of rich oak and briary Cabernet spice, this ambitious blend never quite finds a full fruity voice and is in the end blunted by abrupt tannins, stiff acids and heat.
