Wine Description

Aromas of cherry, plum, vanilla, orange peel, cinnamon and spice dominate the nose with smoked meat, raspherry, and toffee in the background. The mouth is full of dried cherry, coffee and well-balanced oak. The wine offers fruit upfront with soft tannins, good balance and a lingering finish.

(2007 Vintage) This wine makes a strong first impression: a bold hit of dark berries, a cool, spicy length of flavor that’s more than just fruit. There’s an earth tone to the tannin that adds a subtle black olive-skin or black mushroom savor. And then oak makes its presence clear. Supple and juicy, this should evolve well over the next several years.
  • Wine Spectator
(2002 Vintage) "This rich, hearty Pinot exhibits a broad, complex range of ripe black cherry, raspberry and wild berry fruit flavors that are well-defined and long and persistenton the palate, ending with a burst of flavor and ripe, supple tannins."
