(From 2015 Vintage) These grapes were selected from vineyards in Marlborough’s Wairau Valley and the neighbouring Awatere Valley. Fast draining, alluvial loams over gravelly subsoils in these valleys provide ideal growing conditions for our Sauvignon Blanc. Individual blocks were targeted for their strengths and overall contribution to the blend. The vines ranged in age, up to 14 years, bringing a mix of youthful vigour and depth of flavour.
Pinor Noir, Colour: Moderate depth of colour with strong crimson on the edges.Pinot Noir, Aroma: Intense primary Pinot Noir fruits, especially raspberry and cherry, and hints of sweet oak. A subtle beef Bovril complexity is beginning to occur. Pinot Noir palate: A savoury Pinot Noir with elegant, ripe fruit coupled with a touch of oak. Full bodied with the unusual combination of power and elegance seen only in the best Marlborough Pinot Noirs.
