(2011 Vintage) Made to the same rigorous standards as the first wine, from grapes grown in the same vineyard, La Dame de Montrose is the estate’s second label. Supple and silky Merlot generally predominates in the varietal mix. Its very pronounced red fruit aromas and flavours reflect another expression of the terroir in a distinctive style which is less elaborately complex than that of the first wine.
Robert Parker"The 2000 Montrose is a fine effort.. Gigantically sized, its saturated inky purple color is followed by a huge nose of crushed blackberries, creme de cassis, vanilla, hickory smoke, and minerals. Extremely full-bodied, powerful, dense, and chewy, this unreal Montrose should last for 30+ years. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2040."
