Wine Description

Meat, citrus, bread and toasted peanuts on the nose. Rich and decadent style with creamy oak. Full, creamy and soft, this is a rich Champagne, very much a food wine. It has great ripe swathes of peach and pineapple flavors, rounded by toast.

Winemaker's Notes

(From 1999 Vintage) A beautiful Champagne, from the complex floral-, coffee- and brioche-scented nose to the graphite, vanilla and citrus flavors. Light-weight and intense, with a lively structure and a long, lingering finish.

surprisingly oaky as a first impression. almost like Krug NV, maybe even stronger. I drank after drinking 2002, very good progression from that. quite sharp on the palate though
