Like few other Chardonnays, this one greets you with a wide range of aromas and flavors. Mendocino produces fruit that is lean and steely, with mineral characteristics. Ours is the sole vineyard in Anderson Valley where I have ever tasted tropical fruit flavors. This is very different Chardonnay, with flavors of buttery citrus, green apples, vanillin and a lemony aftertaste. - Van Williamson, Winemaker
