Medium ruby. Wonderfully subtle aromas of black raspberry, violet, espresso and bitter chocolate. Compellingly pure on the palate but still tight and primary; almost painfully intense today, with a grand cru combination of power and subtlety. Finishes with very smooth, fine tannins, strong bitter chocolate and spice notes, and terrific length and verve. This may well age like Meo's top 1990 bottlings from Vosne-Romanee.
