This deep plum/garnet-colored wine offers intense berry fruit along with forest floor, spice box, earth and loads of plum, cherry and strawberry notes, moving toward darker fruits, as well as earthy, autumnal, foresty scents.
International Wine CellarRating: 93/100 - As reviewed by International Wine Cellar in Issue 102, May/June 2002 Full red-ruby. Aromas of redcurrant, plum, raspberry, mocha and nuts, plus a suggestion of oatmeal. Dense and concentrated, with considerably more primary fruit character and freshness than the other two '98 Marcassin pinots. Finishes very long and ripely tannic.
