The 1997 Farallon Merlot is harvested from vineyards in the noted appellations of Russian River, Dry Creek, and Sonoma Valley. This Merlot is rich and full bodied with ripe cherry and blackberry fruit aromas, herbaceous notes with dense chocolate and roasted coffee flavors. Subtle oak accents, good structure and fruit allow this wine to be enjoyed now and will continue to improve over the next two to five years.
