Southern Oregon's Applegate Valley benefits from warm summer days with coastal winds from the Pacific which help to moderate its climate. This wine was aged in French oak barrels of which 30% were new, 20% one year old, and 50% neutral. This Merlot has ripe berry flavor of blueberry and cherry which lead to spicy notes with some oak in the background.
