Grown at our Glen Oaks vineyard tucked into the eastern slopes of Napa Valley, vinefied using traditional Bordeaux-style techniques, and then aged in French and American oak for over two years. The wine has wonderful aromas of cherry, blackberry and currant enhanced with sandlewood and a briary, herbaceous note. The luscious mouth is silky, full and concentrated.
Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines(2000 Vintage) 19% Merlot. Far and away the preferred bottling over its lesser mates below, Martini's Napa Valley version is a medium-deep, well-defined Cabernet that presents attractive cherry and cassis themes with a helpful dollop of creamy oak. Its nicely measured tannins will support a bit of time in the cellar, and three or four years of age will find it at its peak.
