Tasting Note

85-89 community ratings. Needs timeAnother sleepy 2005, I really need to stop opening these. Even at the village level these need probably five more years across the board. Earthy nose with a nice bit of eucalyptus. The wine follows through with notes of freshly oiled metal (something I find in all Chevillon NSGs), angry blackberry, and a lots of buried structure held in check by the tannin. With age this might creep into the outstanding range, but it is arguably not complex enough
