85-89, Drink now to 2015. Snooth:Vines are densely planted and the Chateau works judiciously to keep yields to a minimum (less than 3 tons per acre), so the grapes are concentrated and rich. Then each harvested lot undergoes a careful triage to insure that quality is at a peak. The finished wines were aged 14 months in French oak barrels before the final blend of 85% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon was made. This Bordeaux shows wonderful ripe flavors of blackberry and boysenberry along with subtle toast and mineral splashes. Tannins are ripe but tame so it drinks gorgeously right now but it's clear that with cellaring for 5-8 years it will provide a rewarding experience. I let it open for a good long time and was very pleased with the end result. I always buy 2 bottles, one to drink now and one to hold on to. After having this wine the other night I am VERY excited to see what it has in store a few years from now! In fact, I'm going to order more!
