Tasting Note

The name of the "Noizons" vineyard reminds of the walnut grove that used to exist in this rich plot in Pommard. Vines planted in the 1920s give concentrated, earthy fruit; "Noizons" young shows a rustic, earthy side yet with age blossoms into an even more complex, enchanting cuvee. Sweet red fruit with ample spice flood the palate; tannins are structured yet fine, and the finish is velvety and long. A warm, cozy, even maternal wine. It's slightly meaty on the nose and is full of dark cherry and autumn spice aromas, and on the palate it's quite deep considering its youth, with structured and silky tannins, quiet yet upright acidity, and lovely, transparent red earth and orange-spiced minerality on the finish. Nice presence across the palate
