Tasting Note

This is definitely a very nice wine. The last reviewer clearly had a bad bottle (cloudy appearance; musty odor). Our bottle had an intense, fragrant nose of cherries and berries and was a clear, deep ruby red in the glass. In the mouth we tasted a strong fruit flavor moderated by smooth tannins. The finish is nice, but it doesn't last very long. We had it with grilled rib-eye steaks, and it was a perfect match. This Bordeaux is comparable to similarly priced California Cabrernets, so it's a good bargain for a Bordeaux. ated 88 points: Decanted for 1 hour. Dark ruby color with hints of bricking at the rim. Nose of blackberry, cassis, pencil lead, some smoke, hints of leather. Similar palate with some decent minerals. Higher acidity. Everything is there but all is just a bit thin for it to be a great wine. Perhaps still a bit tight. Will try again tomorrow
