(From 2013 Vintage) the growing season repeated a stellar performance, much like vintage 2012, with “early, even and excellent” the watchword throughout napa. winter was a warmer in Pope Valley than is the norm, and spring brought moderate temperatures with ittle moisture, encouraging an early bud break. grapes languished lazily on the vine in the typical summer heat, ripening fully with complex, rich flavors. some september rain was quickly followed by breezy, warm and sunny weather keeping the harvest on track and on schedule, with picking at allomi beginning in late september.
(From 2013 Vintage) Full bodied, with classic Cabernet red fruit flavors set off by aromas and flavors of currant and blackberry, the Allomi Cab is noted for moderate, well-integrated tannins showing a round, plush mouthfeel. Distinct notes of vanilla and oak spice from aging in American oak add to the personality of the wine, surely one of our most popular Napa offerings.
Earthy flavors enhance the fruit flavors in this wine, especially with foods such as herb roasted chicken, grilled pork, caramelized onions, eggplant, sautéed greens, roasted potatoes or vegetables and aged Jack and Gouda cheese.
