Taylor Fladgate 20 Year Old Tawny Port

Wine Details

Port Blend

Wine Description

Intense amber tawny colour. Opulent and voluptuous nose of complex spicy, jammy and nutty aromas, hints of orange flower and a fine oakiness coming from the long period of aging in cask. The palate is full of very rich and concentrated flavour and has a long mellow finish.

This seductive, silky wine balances discreet dried red fruit and fig flavors with pronounced aromatic notes of nuts, praline and mocha in a luxuriant texture underscored by a refined acidic backbone.

(2007 Vintage) Opaque purple black color with a narrow violet rim. Characteristically stylish and racy, with a nose of dense blackcurrant and woodland fruit overlaid with discreet herbal nuances and scents of violet and rose petals. As usual the classic Taylor Fladgate elegance and understatement conceal the wine's inner strength and stamina. On the palate it displays the lean, sinewy and tightly knit tannins which are so much a feature of the house style and the vibrant and clearly delineated fruit flavors which are the hallmark of the 2007 vintage.
