Pindar Vineyards Pythagoras North Fork of Long Island

Winemaker's Notes

"This release could be one of our recent best. Showing some toastiness on the nose and a higher proportion of merlot than usual, this is a very stylish Pythagoras. Medium full in the mouth and packed with black fruit and subtle smoky oak tones. Soft on the attack, but grippy and brisk on the finish. Very good friendly." -Winery

Not a bad wine. The version tasted indicated it was produced for the 15th Anniversary of the winery. It started slow, with a sharp taste of fruit, but opened up quickly and evolved. It was pleasant just to sip alone, without food. It had strong fruit taste throughout the drinking period. The finish was like a Cabernet Sauvignon and not acidic.
