Laurent-Perrier Champagne Brut
Delicate yet complex nose, with hints of citrus fruit, and a good balanced palate.
Connoisseurs' Guide to California WinesClassicly "Brut" in every dimension, this attractive wine is bright in color, alive yet restrained in its citrus and green apple fruit tones and fresh and slightly toasty in its yeasty seasoning. Nuances of chalk, roasted lemon and caramel are comfortably carried within the wine's light and elegant palatefeel contributed by its somewhat higher Chardonnay portion, yet its depth and range are those of a carefully aged wine.
International Wine CellarBright yellow-gold with a slow bead. Deep, musky pear, peach skin and yellow plum on the nose. Sappy and full, offering gently sweet pit fruit and pear flavors that pick up a smoky note with air. Comes across as drier than the last couple of releases under this label, with a touch of finishing bitterness and a lingering note of spicecake.
