Winemaker's Notes

Smell: Ripe summer berries with a touch of vanilla. Taste: Lush berries lead into a lingering cocoa powder finish. Pairs well with: Portobello mushroom burgers, grilled tuna, braised lamb shanks, aged jack cheese.

The Age of Aquarius has come and gone, but some things never go out of style. Like flowers, peace and a nice glass of Merlot. Let's take amoment to toast the sisters who march on to the beat of a different drummer. Nobody stays forever young. But you will always be forevercool.

Smell is sweet and fruit forward. Rich cherry scent. Aromatic. Fruit scent fades after a few minutes and the tannic side becomes apparent. Mouthfeel is soft and light for a merlot. Rich cherry flavor almost current flavor. Uncomplicated but it doesnt suffer for it. Drinkable. Pairings i would try: lighter italian fare, chicken, probably couldnt stand up to steak, burgers, or more complex and savory cuisine. Isnt my favorite merlot on the market but it will work nicely for lower key meals and easy dining.
