(2015 Vintage) Free Mix Match Case Shipping! On the border of Nuits-Saint-George and Vosne-Romanee, you'll find a small wine estate (even for Burgundy) of 12 hectares called Domaine des Perdrix. There's a monopole here, Aux Perdrix, which produces some of the best wines in Nuits-Saint-George. However, for the price, we're sticking with this "village" offering which contains wine from two climats: Au Bas de Combe and Aux Barrieres. Au Bas de Combe is most renowned for its style of Vosne-Romanée, and for its quality: between "village" and "Premier Cru." These wines are some of the most powerful in Burgundy, loaded with aromas of cherry, strawberry and blackcurrant, and when matured, leather, truffle and mushrooms. While muscular and full-bodied, Perdrix retains its elegance with excellent structure, acidity and fine tannins. Spectator Enthusiast says keep your hands off until 2020, however we think with some air, this can be appreciated in its youth.
