Château Pape Clément Pessac-Léognan Grand Cru Classé

Wine Description

This is rich and decadent with lots of wet earth, tobacco, berries and hints of cedar. Full body, round and velvety tannins and a long, long finish.

Rich, earthy. Should be left to decant for about 20-25 mins minimum. Really feel it opening up. Could have ideally opened the bottle after a couple of years maybe!

(2008 Vintage) Rating: 4/5 - As reviewed by Decanter. Deep, dark core, ruby-red at the rim. Generous, blackcurrant fruit on the nose and palate. Mouth-fillingly delicious. Tannins enrobed by succulent fruit; sweet, warm finish. Hedonistic but not for the really long haul. Drink now-2010.
