Light straw color. Aromas of sweet hay, gooseberry, pineapple, and ripe pear, which a touch of fresh squeezed lemon juice and dried apricots. Nice refreshing acidity and citrus avors awaken the palate and pulls you into a surprisingly round mid-palate and with a relatively viscous mouthfeel. A nicely restrained but inviting wine given the hot 2014 vintage. This wine combines the more interesting aromatics and acidity of Sauvignon Blanc and cooler climate unoaked Chardonnay with the more inviting mouthfeel of a fuller bodied, warmer site Chardonnay.
