Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough

Wine Details

Wine Description

A classic regional style – the palate is full and vibrant. Fresh nettle, gooseberry & tropical-fruit flavours abound and linger on the long, clean acid finish.

Perfect white wine that goes with almost anything. I always have it as a go-to wine. It has a clean and crispness and each tasting note is enhanced with almost any food.

(2007 Vintage) Bright, pale straw. Knockout nose combines lemon, lime, pear, melon, flowers, licorice and jalapeno, with a spicy ginger quality emerging with air. Then deep and fresh on the palate, with juicy pineapple and grapefruit flavors complicated by a hint of crystallized citrus peel. There's an element of varietally typical herbaceousness but this wine is ripe, balanced and long.
