nineteen -- 2013 vintage — C1 — 019 — -- Everything Wine, Nov2016, $68.00 -- 94 points, Antonio Galloni said in June2015, "The 2013 Zinfandel Geyserville is every bit as fabulous from bottle as it was from barrel last year. Ripe and voluptuous on the palate - yet with a super-classic conception of structure, the 2013 offers superb depth and impeccable overall balance. Waves of dark red cherry, pomegranate, spice, tobacco lead to more savory/ferrous notes that develop in the glass. Saline notes give the 2013 much of its energy and vivacity. This is a tremendous effort from Ridge" -- 93 points, Robert Parker said in Oct2015, "Made from 73% Zinfandel, 17% Carignan, 9% Petite Sirah and a splash of Mourvèdre, the 2013 Geyserville Proprietary Red Wine is a sexy, voluptuous, concentrated and hedonistic beauty that offers tons of plum, licorice, roasted herbs and leather like aromas and flavors. One of the more ripe and decadent wines in the lineup, it has the mid-palate depth and concentration to evolve for 15+ years" -- 92 points, John Szabo said in Nov2015, "A terrific Geyserville from Ridge in 2013, with pitch-perfect balance, elegance and lingering finish. There are few wines that can carry 14.7% alcohol with so much grace and elegance; wood is not a flavour feature, but rather this is all about the wild and savage fruit flavours, and the California garrigue (resinous herbs). Tannins are ripe and suave but make their presence felt. Great length. Toute en finesse" -- 92 points, Michael Godel said in April2016, "The field blend hails from Alexander Valley of mainly zinfandel planted in 1892, on an ancient river bed of gravel, shale and river rock in the soil. Believe it in the wine, co-harvested and fermented, yields down 20 per cent from '012, perfume pervasive, inherent inhalant but multi-varietal deep, a caring funk and petite sirah dust. Great red fruit and more tang, of mineral palpable. Geyserville is so grown up in 2013. It is a very serious wine, one that really speaks in discourse of Ridge history with such clarity. Overall and in the end the acidity is just so perfect. Drink '017-'026" --
