(2003 Vintage) From a new "magic cask" from Dominique Laurent: Deep red-ruby. Smoky redcurrant, red plum, spices, espresso and a hint of game on the musky nose. Sweet, smooth and fine-grained, with good spice character in the mid-palate. From a new barrel: Nose dominated by black fruits and minerals, with a bit more oak char showing.
