Chateau Gloria Saint-Julien

Wine Details

Wine Description

Color: Red, Very intense purple. Nose: Nose of ripe fruit and some herbs. Palate: A very beautiful St. Julien with lots of fruit and a fine tannin structure with fine legs, very soft and certainly not against stinging. A lush middle and make a ripe fresh and elegant finale complete the picture.

(1999 Vintage) Medium ruby-red. Aromas of currant, blueberry, menthol, leather, cedar and mint. Sweet, soft and silky; this will be approachable early. Finishes with substantial but ripe tannins. Like the Saint-Pierre, under the same ownership, this '99 comes across as far sweeter and lusher than the rather ungiving, dry '98.
