(From 2013 Vintage) Purple-colored, the nose offers up plum and black cherry notes with a touch of black pepper. The palate is soft and round with ripe, saturated berry flavors. Finishes spicy and full with chewy tannins.
The 2012 Oak Cask Malbec has an intense red colour with violet hints. The wine shows sweet aromas of blackberry and plum with a touch of black pepper, an elegant touch of smoke and vanilla comes from the oak aging. There is a velvety texture, soft tannins and long finish.
Smooth smell, plummy scent. Velvety. Tastes slightly of vanilla and there is a light smoke. After reading the bottle: it says peppercorn. I taste a lighter pepper flavor, closer to Turmeric.
Pretty good malbec, not too special, solid tho
Not heavy tanins but good with hearty food
Rough on the mouth.
Basic good Malbec
