Orin Swift Blindfold is a blend of Chardonnay, Viognier, Marsanne, Roussanne, Grenache Blanc, Semillon and Riesling, this hodge-podge white shows off 25% new French and Hungarian oak and hot buttered apples and pears. There is a caramel undertone throughout its oak-toasted marshmallow and freshly-popped popcorn.
Nose is all fruit, lots of grape character with subtle peach and floral notes. Medium to heavy body, initial burst of acidic citrus and quickly gives way to a great chardonnay butter, that then subsides in to a toasty, nutty, vanilla finish that seems to go on forever and is smooth as silk. Huge, complex, powerhouse of a white.
Mild, crisp, minerals, little butter, light note of honey, amazing California blend
Sweet honey, smooth and delicious
Tastles like creme brulee
Light great summer wine
