The Refosco is undoubtedly the most widespread autochthonous red vine in the north-eastern region of Italy. Austere, elegant and authentic, this intense ruby red-colored wine has a “rustic” taste of tannin which is subdued with the refining process. The bouquet presents notes of red-berried fruit, principally cherry. Dry and vinous to the taste, the tannins are perceptible but pleasantly softened by the refining process. Fresh, intense and persistent, with a slightly balsamic aftertaste.
