Wine Description

The second label of Rocca di Frassinello. A wine of great character in which Sangioveto, Cabernet and Merlot are blended together to realize an ideal Italian-French wine. Floral notes at the nose and very expressive from start to finish.

    (2008 Vintage) "The 2008 Le Sughere di Frassinello is 50% Sangioveto, 25% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon. This is one of the more refined, elegant wines I have tasted from this emerging property in Gavorrano. Layers of ripe dark fruit emerge in a silky, refined style that is utterly irresistible. Mint, flowers and spices follow, adding further complexity, while a final burst of juiciness has the last say on the finish.
