(2012 Vintage) Ripe pear, fresh peach and autumn quince mingle with warm hazelnut and toasted almond in this classic Chardonnay. The balance of fruit, oak, texture and varietal character concludes with a long, clean, lingering finish.
My husband will only drink Chardonnay (unless he is in Paris). This is the best (least inexpensive/in a pinch wine) we can agree on.
paired w mango Stilton v nicely done - subtle oak so flavors not overwhelmed
paired w Drunken Goat cheese a subtle varietal not overly oaked
Good blend of floral and tropical fruit for a Reiesling.
Blackberry, cassis, spicy oak
Smooth buttery finish...

Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines(2006 Vintage) Slightly toasty first notes are joined by a vanilla custard-like scent in the surprisingly low-key aromas of this ripe, but quietly fruity, full-bodied wine. It comes with a full measure of supportive acid and a nice sense of backbone, but it never quite convinces that it has the stuffing to open up into greatness, and its past success notwithstanding, it trails the best here.
