(From 2010 Vintage) Beaujolais Nouveau is all about freshness. These Gamay grapes were just picked weeks ago, thus a very short fermentation. Generous notes of strawberry and black currant dominate the nose, with silky tannins that bring smoothness to the palate. The finish has subtle touches of sweet cherry.
Delightful style, boiled lolly on the bouquet with red berries on the palate. Vibrant robe, and really agreeable chalky Beaujolais tannins, very palate cleansing. Very vinous, and true to Beaujolais style...delicious bistro wine.....can imagine it being served chilled by the carafe with charcuterie...
Wine & Spirits(From 2010 Vintage) Duboeuf is probably the most famous producer in the Beaujolais region, and his Nouveaus have been a holiday standard for our customers every year that we can remember. This year's edition is incredibly intense and full of fruit - it tastes like a liquid Jolly Rancher! For those of you who have been faithfully following the Dubouefs, this is one of the best vintages in recent memory; if you liked last year's, you definitely won't be disappointed this time around.
