The fruit for the Estate is sourced from throughout Shea Vineyard. The nose offers black cherry and the rich earthiness of forest floor, accented with violet floral notes. The palate is rich with additional hints of cocoa, supple fine grain tannins and a long, elegant finish.
Raspberries, pepper on the nose. Tart strawberry on the palate, higher acidity fuller flavor profile.
Insanely smooth, a touch sweet, pairs well with everything. Love Oregon pinots.
Swing and a miss. Very thin and bitter.

International Wine Cellar(2005 Vintage) Rating: 88(+?) - As reviewed by International Wine Cellar in Issue 132, May/June 2007 ($50) Dark red with a bright rim. Pungent floral and underbrush notes accent deep raspberry and candied cherry on the nose. Structured and youthfully wound-up, with concentrated cherry and dark berry flavors and an exotic hint of floral pastille. Fresh and sappy on the finish. Give this a few years to unwind.
