Winemaker's Notes

(From 2014 Vintage) Pale yellow color with green hues. The aroma is fresh and vibrant with a base of rich tropical fruit but dominated especially when young, by fresh lime and lemongrass aromas as well as a fresh herb note. The palate shows a lovely fruit weight on the mid palate with flavors reminiscent of gooseberry and citrus and this is surrounded by a juicy, pure acidity giving the wine it's zesty exuberance with a fresh, dry finish.

(From 2008 Vintage) Aromas of lemon, grapefruit and passionfruit, plus touches of fresh green grass, dazzle the olfactory. The German word "giessen" means "to water," an appropriate homophone. The rush of vibrant fruit and lively acidity is enough to quench any wine lover's thirst for layered citrus refreshment. The dry, bracing core finishes very cleanly, with a flourish of light grapefruit.
