(2011 Vintage) Victoria’s Alpine Valleys are Frisk’s birthplace, where snowcapped peaks loom large and racy Riesling grapes thrive. But like the Short-Tailed Shearwater who undertakes a tremendous journey between the east coast of Australia and the west coast of the U.S., the frisky bird was lured to one of California’s pioneering wine regions, the Lodi Valley. Within the Lodi Valley, Woodbridge District Grenache holds a place in history, having been grown here since the early 1800s. These hand-tended vines fervently soak up the summer sunshine and are now part of the Frisk Prickly family. Everyone’s prickled pink about it.
