Wine Description

A combination of French and American oak enhanced the fruit’s spice qualities, giving the wine some shoulders as well. The 2013 Director’s Cut Zinfandel demonstrates a lush full body and velvety palate. Scents of blackberries, cherries, cloves, black pepper and oak are followed by flavors of black currants and raspberries that are enlivened with intriguing notes of bramble, anise, and spices.

dark red, almost purple, long and heavy legs red fruit (cherry) mineral earth, smokey, woody smelling like BBQ beef, lamb palate: substantial big wine, good acidic level balanced, fresh red fruit, spicy pairing: excellent and smooth with roasted garlic and grilled bread, green vegetable. pairing: definitely grill meet,

Earthy and a little spicy, but more lush fruity notes from cherries and plums. Very rich.

Very good. Not too peppery went well with our antipasto.

Smooth though a bit generic. Easy to drink.
