E. Guigal Chateauneuf du Pape
(WA89) More soft, supple and sexy, with exotic spice, kirsch, dried flowers and cured meat-like nuances, the 2011 Chateauneuf du Pape is medium-bodied, seamless and delicious.
International Wine Cellar(1996 Vintage) Medium red. Aromas of leather, smoke, red cherry and gibier. Vinous and moderately ripe, but with sneaky vinosity and nicely delineated flavors. Notes of pepper and leather. Finishes with firm tannins and good freshness and grip. A juicy, food-friendly wine.

Robert Parker(1996 Vintage)
International Wine Cellar(2001 Vintage) Rating: 90/100 - As reviewed by International Wine Cellar in Issue 112, January/February 2004 ($40) Deep red. Roasted raspberry, strawberry, pepper, spices and exotic dried herbs on the nose. Suave and lively in the mouth, with red fruit and garrigue flavors framed by ripe acidity. Spicy and perfumed in the mouth, with enticing but restrained sweetness. Finishes very fresh and persistent, with fine-grained tannins. Delicious already.
