  • Decanter
(From 1990 Vintage) Rating: 4/5 - As reviewed by Decanter. Lovely cherry red rim, with distant fruits on the nose. Crisp and beautifully balanced fruit on the nose; solid body and structure on the palate with rich fruits. A very attractive and very fine wine.

  • Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines
(From 2005 Vintage) Smelling a bit riper than many from this section of the Left Bank, the wine starts with aromas of currants and berries with toasty oak in hot pursuit. It is, however, less complete in its flavors that suggest a bit of concentration but fall short on depth and drift into muscular dryness at the finish. It has a good chance to find a more open stance in time, and it would not be the worst idea to take a chance by laying away a few bottles.
