Dense purple with opaque center. Multilayered fruit bouquet of prunes and red wine figs, underlaid with gingerbread and chocolate cherry, radiating classy acting and wonderful warmth. Round tannins and plum jelly-like sweetness in the flattering palate with subtle cedar spice and dried fruit again much in the velvety center, Tempranillo wealth and Fernandez-classical perfection, caramelized walnuts in a long lingering finish.

International Wine Cellar(2005 Vintage) Youthful purple. Deeply scented aromas of ripe dark berries and plum are complemented by roasted coffee and road tar. Serious, brooding plum jam and kirsch flavors in conjunction with low acidity and solid tannins make for tough sledding right now. Finishes ripe and full, with sappy cling and a lingering plummy character. This needs grilled red meat.
