(From 2012 Vintage) Also decidedly fresh and pure, the 2010 Two Hands Shiraz Lily's Garden is a beauty. Aged for 18 months in 8% new American oak hogsheads, with the balance mostly neutral American oak, it is deep and dark-fruited on the nose, with aromas of charred earth, underbrush, graphite, and cracked pepper all showing with time in the glass. This medium to full-bodied Shiraz has beautiful concentration, juicy acidity, and a clean, focused texture that carries through the dry, structured finish. As with the Max’s Garden bottling, this will benefit from short term cellaring, and drink well for over a decade.
