The 2010 Pinot Noir Shea Vineyard initially conveys a surprisingly Cote-Rotie-like impression of bacon and violets mingled with fresh ripe cherry. Texturally polished and infectiously juicy, this projects a Pinot-typical palate personality, and finishes with subtle smokiness and sappy, ripe, but in no way superficially sweet fruit.
Sourced from throughout the Shea Vineyard, this is a classic Oregon Pinot Noir. It displays aromas of violets, with red fruit on the palate and a spicy, lingering finish. This Pinot is big and structured, yet not overpowering and remains balanced, with smooth tannins and a bright acidity.
