(2010 Vintage) Aromas of spice box and red fruit Intense flavors of currant, candied apple and Zinfandel’s briary essence Soft entry with focused acidity and an extremely long finish
Medium cherry red color. Big, bold, fruity wine. Nose of red cherry, strawberry, and kool aid leads to a palate with high tannin, low acidity, and intense red berry flavor. Long finish, powerful wine.
Overall pleasant but not too unique if a zin. Ok, but not too memorable. Better balance of fruit and tannin than expected.
very smooth Zinfandel, one of my favorites for the price.

Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines(2006 Vintage) Very much cast in the very ripe, very extracted manner that has come to be the Segehsio stamp, this dramatic wine offers up a broad sweep of blackberry fruit highlighted with suggestions of chocolate, sweet oak and jam. It is absolutely mouthfilling stuff, and it shows a slight trim of heat at the finish, but it is marked first and last by its very powerful fruit and will shine as a partner to savory pork roasts.
